Karingal Scout Campsite
CampgroundDescription
Scouts Queensland operates Karingal Campsite & Activity Centre. This is primarily a campsite for Scouts, Guides, Community Groups and does have limited non-powered sites for the public, who must sign up for a Supporter of Scouting annual membership for $20 before being allowed to stay.
All guests must book and pay in advance online via camping.scoutsqld.com.au
Please access Karingal Road and drive until the road stops at the main entry. All guests must check-in with the Caretaker at the office or by calling on arrival. We are not located at the Mt Cotton Scout Group, you will pass it on your left.
The sites are mostly dirt with some grass. The amenities are poor in quality and rate at half a star only however, the water is hot and flows well. The amenities are old concrete and we are definitely in need of funding support to upgrade them.
We are dog friendly. Please pick up after your dog.
The rest of the campsite is not accessible to the public (eg walking tracks etc please see map) and when Scouts or Guides are on site, public campers must remain a large distance away for child safety requirements. Public must use designated amenities and not walk to conference or bunk house facilities under hire by groups.
This is a very peaceful and quiet site and a real bush camping experience.
This paid campground is owned & operated by Scouts Queensland. T & C apply on entry please read them carefully. Thank you!
