Our names are Chris and Christine. We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx 320 acres) with about 80 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River. Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx 20 minutes from the Bruce Hwy) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the camp grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views from the top. There is a bike track and playground with mini putt putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4wd enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River turtles. We also have fire pits at most of the sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your furry friends are more than welcome but for the safety of others reqest they are tethered at all times if there are others campers staying on the property at the same times! We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, approx an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has Food Works, bottle shop, United Fuel, Cafe and Coffee Shop. The historic Dickabram bridge is 15 minutes away in the town of Miva. Well worth a look. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals 'tell them we sent you'! Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace a quiet. Plenty of space or secluded areas if you want to be away from others.
