Description

This campsite is about as natural as bush gets with open areas amongst the gum trees for erecting tents, camper trailers or small caravans. No toilets or showers so suits self-contained campers. Dogs are permitted but must be well controlled. Campfires are permitted, collect your own wood. The local area has a tourism focus with plenty of opportunities to explore the Scenic Rim. Mt. Maroon and Mt. Barney offer walking trails to the top, Lake Moogera and Maroon Dam are not far away for jetskis, kayaking and swimming and we also have several eateries withing 25 minutes. Scenic Rim website has more details. Dog friendly. I prefer campers to avoid Hipcamp and confirm that they can stay before arriving. We charge $10 pp pn on weekends and public holidays, and $8 pp pn weekdays. You can contact Peter on our email address or phone and leave a message, and I will return your call. We don't get mobile reception at home but you can contact me on my mobile when we're out. We're happy to accept long term stays and can discuss costs and space if you're interested.
