Located in the Gloucester Islands National Park, set between two rocky headlands on a steep rocky beach with unreliable anchorage. Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Book online in advance.
East Side Bay is set in vegetation behind the beach adjacent to a seasonal freshwater lagoon, this bay provides a pretty and secluded camping experience. The campground can be reached by boat (only). The east-facing beach is steep and the anchorage is unreliable.
Camping is in an open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 6 people. The site is suitable for walk-in camping. There are no facilities and mobile phone reception is not available.
Open fires and ash-producing stoves are not permitted on national park islands or intertidal lands adjacent to national park islands. Use gas or fuel stoves for cooking.
Pets are not permitted.
