Comboyuro Point Camping Area
CampgroundDescription
A vehicle access permit is required to drive on Moreton Island. Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site at all times. All camping permits must be obtained before you arrive on the island (there is no self-registration on site).
Comboyuro Point is a large campground providing 49 shady sites of various sizes. All sites are marked with totems. The area offers sheltered bay waters.
The campground can be reached on foot and by 4WD. Parking is available beside camp sites. It is accessible for camper trailers.
Facilities include: water (treat before drinking), septic toilets, rubbish bins, portable toilet waste disposal and cold showers.
Open fires are allowed (in existing fire sites only), except when fire bans or prohibitions apply. Fuel or gas stoves, rather than open fires, are recommended.
Generators and pets are not permitted.
