Description

Cochable Creek camping area is located on the bank of Cochable Creek in Tully Gorge National Park. It is a trailhead for Koolmoon Creek track and Cannabullen Creek trackpart of the Misty Mountains wilderness tracks. Camping permits are required and fees apply. Book before arrival. The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle or by foot. It is not accessible for caravans and motorhomes. Vehicles must be left in the parking area and gear has to be carried a short distance of 50m to the camping and day-use area. Camper trailers can be used in the car park a short distance from the camping area facilities. Facilities include sheltered picnic tables and a hybrid toilet. Creek water is available but is not suitable for drinking. Open fires are not permitted. Fuel stoves are recommended. only generators that operate at or below 65dB(A) are permitted. Generators may be operated only between 8.00am and 7.00pm. Mobile phone coverage is not available. The nearest reliable phone reception is approximately 20 minutes drive out of the park near the Bore Pocket Road turn off. Dogs are not permitted.
