River side fishing, crabbing and camping. Boat ramp for your paddle craft or tinny. Bush walk from the river to a large dam. Dipping ponds if its a hot day. A great base camp right in the middle of Discovery Coast. River camp is limited to just 4 campsites (sites 1-4), each with their own 1000L swimming pool and about 1 acre in size and are pull through for vans. All sites come with a 10L rainwater container (refilled daily), fire drum, leaf rake, shovel and bucket. Rainwater is also available to fill water tanks when you arrive. We provide piles of sticks as firewood, although some logs are provided or you can cut your own. A gazebo, camp box, fishing deck (in front of site 2), fishing gear, crab traps and kayak are provided for campers to share. We have also just opened a bushland (overflow) camp (site 5), a camp by the dam (site 6), and a powered (overflow) site (site 7) 600m from the river ; as well as a self-contained top floor apartment. The local pub, bottle shop, take away, tackle shop, hardware, post office and petrol station are just 300m from the property. Rules beach is 15km and the river is navigable the whole way. The closest large towns are Agnes Water/1770 (50km north) and Bundaberg (80km south). Telstra mobile reception in the area is good, however Optus mobile reception seems unreliable.
