Description

Cathedrals on Fraser is a centrally located, dingo-fenced campground on World Heritage listed Fraser Island. After 40 years of operation, Cathedrals on Fraser remains true to its traditional camping roots, providing a lush and relaxing environment where guests can enjoy all the natural beauty, wildlife and magic of Fraser Island... without sacrificing convenience. Cathedrals on Fraser offers a wide variety of on-site services and facilities including a fully stocked shop with hot food and coffee, as well as a fuel station, laundry facilities, hot showers and much more! The campground also hosts a variety of accommodation options to suit any budget, from permanently erected canvas tents, cabins and powered or unpowered camping sites. Cathedrals on Fraser is a privately owned camping ground, which means you are not required to have a QPWS camping permit. However, all vehicles entering Fraser Island are required to have a vehicle access permit before arriving. You will need a 4WD to get to Cathedrals on Fraser. If you don't have one, you can always hire from Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach.
