Description

Carmila Beach is located approximately 6km east of Carmila. It is an unspoilt paradise and convenient rest and camping area for all those travelling between Rockhampton and Sarina. Contact number is 1300 472 227. In Sign at the entrance states There are 3 Zones - see attached photos: Zone 1 - caravans has only 9 sites Zone 2 - camper trailers has only 11 sites Zone 3 - tents has 12 sites Access to the camp ground is along 1km of dirt track and the last 300m are sandy and narrow. Facilities include toilets, barbeques, picnic tables and boat ramps. Carmila Beach is very popular with fishing enthusiasts who trawl through the creeks north and south of this camping oasis. Overnight camping at Carmila is charged at $14 per night for a maximum stay of 14 consecutive nights. Please be advised it is recommended travellers fill their vans prior to arrival at Carmila, as currently there is no potable water available in Carmila for van use or drinking. Bottled drinking water can be purchased from the Service Station for your convenience.
