Broken Downs Farmstay
CampgroundDescription
Hi everyone 'Broken Downs' is our 5 acre property situated on the edge of the quiet village of Maidenwell nestled in the foot hills of the Bunya Mountains in the South Burnett region of SE Queensland.
We are within easy walking distance of all village amenities. There is the Maidenwell Trading Post who offer a range of grocery items, eat in & takeaway food, coffee, fuel & swap & go gas, open 7 days. The Maidenwell Hotel offers cold beer & meals as well as pig on the spit last Saturday of the month.
What we can offer travellers is a safe secure fully fenced area for your car & van. You will also have access to our rustic camp kitchen complete with tea & coffee facilities, fridge, gas pizza oven, toaster oven/air fryer, bbq, fire pit, wood, tv, table & chairs. Mobile reception can be patchy.
We have chooks, one very photogenic alpaca & our young miniature goats & plenty of wild birds. We offer a safe secure campsite behind farm gates. Stay a few days & explore all that this beautiful area has to offer. $15 (2people) per night, power & water if required $5 per night extra. Self sufficient (own shower & toilet) vehicles only please as we do not offer amenities. Please be aware we are on tank water only & would appreciate it if you can refrain from using washing machines.
The dump point is across the road.
