Description

Camp at Broadwater Waterhole and relax in the shade of the coolibah trees. A variety of birds will greet you each morning. Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site. Book your camp site online or at the camping registration stand upon arrival. Broadwater Waterhole camping area features unpowered bush camping surrounded by mulga and gidgee woodlands. The camping area turn-off is approximately 5km from the park's eastern boundary. Turn right and travel another 2km to the camping registration stand. The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle, 4WD is recommended. Be alert and prepared for changes in weather. Even small amounts of rain on the park or in surrounding areas can cause floods at any time of year. If heavy rain or minor flooding occurs, move to higher ground. Sites are suitable for tents and camper trailers. There are no facilities. Campfires are permitted, except when fire prohibitions or fire bans are in place. Fuel stoves are recommended. Generators and pets are not permitted. Mobile phone coverage is unavailable; satellite phones and UHF radios (local channel 2 simplex recommended).
