The Booloumba Creek Road access includes creek crossings that are accessible by high clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles only.
There are three camping areas at Booloumba Creek. Grassy camp sites are located in rainforest and open forest settings close to mountain streams.
Camping permits for all camp sites must be booked in advance.
Booloumba Creek camping area 1 is nestled in luxuriant rainforest. It is high clearance four-wheel-drive accessible and for tents only. Campervans, caravans or camper trailers are not allowed in this area. Vehicle parking spaces are provided beside the road adjoining the campsite-expect to carry your camping gear a short distance. Some wheelchair-accessible toilets are provided-assistance is required to negotiate grassed areas. There are 24 numbered sites with a set capacity for each site. Some sites are double size to suit larger family groups.
Facilities include: Water (unsuitable for drinking without treatment as it is pumped from the creek and may contain organisms that can cause illness), toilets (including wheelchair accessible), individual fire rings (bring your own clean-cut firewood), walking tracks and pay phone.
Open fires are allowed in fire rings only (except when fire bans apply). Fuel stoves are recommended. It is illegal to collect firewood from the park.
No pets. No Generators.
