Description

Tolga Country Lodge is a backpacker working hostel providing accommodation, 2nd year working holiday visa farm work and transport to and from a range of satisfying work. Our work and hostel are tailored for backpackers travelling to Far North Queensland, Australia. Our hostel situated in the heart of the beautiful Atherton Tablelands which is one hour from Cairns and just 4kms from the main business district of Atherton. Tolga is one of the few locations in Australia that requires farm workers all year round. The busy months are from September through to April when we have avocado, banana, passionfruit, citrus, potatoes, mangoes, pumpkins and watermelon picking and packing. We also provide work during the winter months such as banana picking, pruning, construction work, irrigation and much more. Tolga Country Lodge is very clean with an impressive garden and seating area, large communal kitchen, library, internet, TV and laundry facilities. The working hostel also provides a courtesy bus every Tuesday and Thursday for grocery shopping and we also offer bicycle hire for guests to explore the local attractions and breathtaking highlights of the Tablelands. All rooms are dorm style ranging from 3 - 6 bed. Prices are per person and includes accommodation, Wi-Fi and transport to and from work.
