Yuendumu is on Aboriginal Lands Trust land, which means a permit is required if visitors wish to stay overnight or longer. Permits are not required for day visitors. Permit application forms and permits can be obtained through the Central Land Council in Alice Springs.
Open Mon-Fri: 9am-4pm, weekends by appointment only.

Warlukurlangu means belonging to fire in the local language, Warlpiri, and is named after a fire dreaming site west of Yuendumu.
