OPEN: Wednesday's 9am to 12noon, Saturday's 9am to 12noon. This year Open from 25 May 2024 to end of September. Devonshire Tea $10pp, Entry $5 pp. O'Keeffe House is set amongst beautiful gardens. The perfect setting for some Devonshire Tea and to discover the WWII history of the Katherine region. The premises houses O'Keeffe House which was intended as a recreation hut for army officers stationed in Katherine in 1942, it soon became the officers' mess and then the home of Olive O'Keeffe. It is one of the very few structures from the World War II era that have survived in the Katherine area. It is a classic example of bush technology utilising timber, corrugated iron and flywire.
