Description

===== Site Temporarily Closed. This park is currently closed due to water supply issues. NT Government are working with Traditional Owners and the Northern Land Council to resolve these issues. Find out more about this at nt.gov.au If this site has re-opened, let us know using the report button by selecting the 'other' option. ===== The thermal hot springs at Tjuwaliyn (Douglas) Hot Springs is this park's biggest drawcard. You can experience a natural thermal hot springs treatment or head up or downstream for cooler pools. The park is open all year round, but roads may close during the Wet Season from October to April. Check road conditions before you set off for the park. To get to the park travel 200km south along the Stuart Highway from Darwin, or 150km north from Katherine. Take the Dorat and then Oolloo Roads. Follow the signs to the park. The last 7km is unsealed road, though you can usually tow caravans and trailers. There is a large camping area with toilets and showers, barbecues, picnic tables and water. Power is not available. Camping fees apply and should be deposited in the honesty box provided. Note - if you wish to use a generator please camp in the generator use area and show consideration to other campers. Pets are not permitted.
