Description

This rest area offers toilets. It is dog friendly. It is accessible to RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs. Camping in tents is allowed. The spot can be found adjacent to the railway, on the south end of town. It is marked by 3 sheds, one's the toilet, one's the rural fire service (both green) and one's an old canteen/bar with an open front (unpainted). It is also marked by two entry points, just south of the railway (the Gulgong side of the railway). One entry, the furthest from the railway, has a pair of open gates with an old sign between them, stating 'Birriwa Recreation Reserve'.. It marks the spot!
