Description

While camped and stranded at Depot Glenn, nearby, Sturt set out looking for water to advance his party. In the meantime he was concerned that the portion of his party left behind might get up to no good while he was away so he set them the task of constructing this cairn on Mt Poole to keep them occupied until his return. It had no other purpose. This site is located on private property of Mt Poole Station, who kindly allow public access to the site.
