Description

----- Take your budget further and get 5% off when you use the code WELWIKI5 on your booking through the link on WikiCamps. Enjoy your experience! ----- Explore the Australian rainforest at night using night vision technology for an insider's look at the animals that live there. This is an experience unlike any other, anywhere else in the world! As we go in search of nocturnal wildlife, instead of wielding a torch we will be incognito, wearing special night-vision goggles so that we can be less intrusive and connected with what is going on around us. This military-grade technology allows you to see animals as they interact in their natural environment. Seeing the forest in the dark can be an enlightening experience. Joined by your passionate guide and wildlife expert, learn all about the behaviours of the animals you see. Nights with less moonlight offer the best conditions and on a typical night, you will see five species. Some of the regular sightings include possums, pademelons, bandicoots, tawny frogmouths, leaf-tailed geckos, bush rats, microbats and frogs. While we do our very best to give you a great experience, we are dealing with nature so we cannot guarantee animal sightings. After your walk, gaze up at the starry night while you enjoy a hot chocolate. The perfect way to end this intimate nature experience. We request that you try and wear dark clothing if possible so that we don't draw attention to ourselves or disturb the wildlife that we are trying to see.
