Riverbend

Campground

Description

All bookings must be made in advance through HipCamp. Nestled in the historic area of Sandy Hill, renown for gold mining & fossicking this paid campground stretches along several kilometres of the Cararact River and is easily accessed, being only 500m off the Bruxner Highway. There, are no toilets, showers or potable water on site at Riverbend. We welcome self contained RVs, Camper Trailers, Caravans & Tents, so long as you have your own toilet / porta-potti. Flat shady campsites are located along the sandy bottomed Cataract River, with access to the crystal clear water for swimming & fishing. Riverbend is a working cattle grazing farm with diverse terrain, ranging from lush shady river flats to mountainous bush country, alive with wildlife & plenty of tracks suitable for pushbikes & bush walking. We share boundaries with State Forest & National Parks which have great 4x4 trails. We don't have mobile service, but we do have wifi & a landline at the homestead for emergencies. All this just 30km from our friendly town of Tenterfield. Looking forward to hosting you & enjoying our beautiful farm with you soon.
