Description

In early 2020, the Orroral Valley bushfire burnt over 80% of Namadgi National Park. Namadgi National Park is partially closed to allow for bushfire and flood recovery works. The ACT Government is planning to progressively reopen the remaining areas of Namadgi in stages. Anticipated opening for this section is September 2021. _____________ Campground within the Namadgi National Park. Fees apply and Bookings are essential. Orroral Campground is set alongside the Orroral River and features tent sites for small parties as well as sites for campervans and caravans. The campground has flush toilets, picnic tables, and wood and gas barbecues. Please take your rubbish with you. Campfires may only be lit in officially constructed fireplaces. Restrictions apply when Total Fire Bans are in place. Firewood is not provided, so campers are required to supply their own wood. It is illegal to take any wood from within the national park. Dogs are not permitted in Namadgi.
