Description
A camping area is provided at Lake Wyangan free of charge (non powered sites) for a maximum stay of 3 days. This area has barbeque facilities, shelters, boat ramp and an amenities block with toilets (showers have been turned off). Dogs are not permitted.
It is accessible to RVs and camper trailers. Camping in tents is allowed.
Sheltered picnic areas and barbecue facilities are found throughout the large grassed reserve. There is ample space for a game of cricket, to ride a bike or enjoy a stroll. Lovely foreshore walk with boat ramp and jetty.
The lake was formed in 1957 using the remains of a gypsum mine and a natural swamp area.
