Chaelundi Campground

Campground

Description

You are now required to make a booking for all campgrounds and campsites in NSW national parks. This includes locations that were previously available for use without a booking. This is necessary to protect our visitors and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Book online or contact the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757. This quiet campground is popular with families and 4WD tourers and makes a great base for enjoying walking tracks into Guy Fawkes River National Park. This campground can be accessed by 4WD. There are 10 unpowered, unmarked sites suitable for tents, camper trailers and camping beside your vehicle. Facilities include picnic tables, barbecue facilities and non-flush toilets. Bookings are not available for this campground. At this remote, yet welcoming campground, you can camp among the tall forest or at grassy campsites nestled next to the quaint Chaelundi Creek, which is also a lovely spot to swim and paddle when the weather is hot. There's lots of open space in the campground where kids can play games. Check the weather before you set out as the road to this campground can become boggy when it rains. All roads require 4WD vehicle. Generators, pets and smoking are prohibited.
