For incredible beach camping close to walking tracks, and fishing and swimming spots, look no further than Boorkoom campground, positioned on Wilsons Headland in the Yuraygir National Park, near Wooli. Bookings are required. Book online or call the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757. Camping fees and National Park entry fees apply. There are 10 unpowered, clifftop campsites suitable for tents, campervans and small or medium-sized camper trailers and caravans. Facilities include picnic tables, barbecue facilities, and toilets. The headland is a great spot for watching the annual whale migration. Swim or surf the pristine waters of the north coast or go fishing for whiting, bream or flathead. Walk the 3km Wilsons Headland walk, enjoying its boardwalks and sweeping sea views en route to a lovely picnic area. On-ground camp fires and solid fuel burners are not permitted at this campground. You can use small braziers - please bring your own firewood. Pets and domestic animals (other than certified assistance animals) are not permitted. NSW national parks are no smoking areas.
