Description

Blue Gums campground is a tranquil, secluded camping spot. Bring your mountain bike and explore the rugged wilderness. At night, relax under the stars by a warm campfire. 4WD vehicles are required to access this campground. 32km of unsealed roads and 2km of 4WD-only access. There area 3 causeway crossings; please check depths before crossing, as depth can vary. Check the weather before you set out as the road to Blue Gums campground can become boggy when it rains. PIN/combination numbers to access the main gate into Big Yango precinct will be provided with your booking confirmation. Book online or call the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757. This campground is in a remote location, so it's a good idea to pick up your supplies before you arrive. Small cafés and convenience stores are available at Laguna and Wollombi townships, 1 hour drive away. The weather in this area can be extreme and unpredictable, so please make sure you arrive well-prepared for your visit. No pets.
