Beaut spot along side the river. Great pub to have a cold beer, friendly staff. Stayed 2 nights, not many camping here at the moment.

Although it rained and campground was muddy, we still think it's a great place. Very scenic next to the Moonie River. Staff were friendly and helpful and had a great meal. We think it does match the hype and recommend this spot.

Called through today for lunch. I know some rave about this place. Must go there etc. frankly, staff engagement was poor for a country pub with such high reviews. Rained last night and the council parking (camping area) was just a slippery bog hole. Sure we get the historical nature of the pub, but I fear they just don't care. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend this as a good camping spot. Lots more rivers to camp without the false tourist hype. Overall disappointed. Just for clarity, 2nd time we have called in to see if the hospitality and acceptance of tourists had improved. If you love staying there, enjoy.

Great place to stay under the trees. Pub is awsome

Beautiful camp site for a beautiful pub. Stayed here a night. Clean toilets, showers at the pub (behind the female toilets) and plenty of seating by the river.

We stayed 2 nights. Beautiful sites among tress or on hard ground with river views. Council amenities clean. Hotel friendly atmosphere with surprisingly good drink prices. Happy campers!

Our camp spot across from the pub was gorgeous. I'm really sorry to say we didn't share everyone's positive experience at the pub. The pub itself is amazing! The beer garden and history was fabulous. The service behind the bar (the more mature lady) was not at all friendly. Cask Sauv Blanc twice poured under the line on the glass. Can't use a card for purchases under $20. (They will do cash out) and the veggies that accompanied our meals were inedible. We were really excited to visit this pub but we left disappointed. I hope it was just a one off bad night.

Great place to camp at the side of the river and walk across to pub. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Toilets were clean.

Stayed one night last week. We are definitely going to return. Great place to sleep, few others there. Nice huntsman in the toilet, but he ran away:). Pub meal was nice and big, $67 for 2 meals and 2 beers, pretty average these days. Ladies seemed nice who worked there. Showers could do with some new shower heads, but it was nice and warm and we very much appreciated them.

Loved the tranquility of camping at the river after a fun night at the pub. Great atmosphere and history of this 1864 pub.
