Great job Chinchilla!A great 48 hour stop over but unfortunately a lot of people don't know how to tell the time the worst thing the council has done is putting the power on people just don't know when to leave. Also people don't know what the bylaws mean by all dogs are too be restrained.

Loved it here, so much work has recently been completed. Easy drive through sites but most fire pits aren't in a great place. Fire pit design is great though. Lovely new gardens, and a great camp kitchen as well as picnic shelters.

Great campground. A real credit to the town of Chinchilla. Bitumen entrance into the weir and a hard surface on the sites. Big drive through sites with plenty of room. Lovely clean new amenities and new camp kitchen. My only suggestion would be to have a donation box for the powered sites at the weir and not in at the Information Centre in town as it doesn't open till 9am and most travellers are on the road before then.

Wow well done Chinchilla a town that knows how to look after tourists lots of people will come here and spend money in the town a great campground day area some other towns with their head in the sand look at this

Brand new campground by the weir. Good level hard surface with brand new kitchen and toilet facilities. So good

Beautiful camp grounds, new toilets, BBQ area is fantastic with power to recharge if in unpowered site, lots of fire pits, dog friendly, thank you Chinchilla for the wonderful camp area.

Fantastic new camp. We were lucky to have a powered site, but lots of room to spread out if you want unpowered. Clean toilets. Plenty of fire pits. No water but water available in town. Donations have to be taken to Tourist Info Centre. It would be much more convenient if these were able to be left onsite. Thank you Chinchilla for this lovely camp.

Looks very new and pretty, no hot water, no clean water, no showers and vans parked on top of each other! Ok it's free but I've stayed in much better free camps with better free facilities! Council say they spent $2.3 million on this ground doesn't really look like it!

Thanks Chinchilla for the lovely new camp area. We arrived at about 2 o'clock and it was already full. Camped along the road/fence area and moved up the next morning as sites became available. Went for a drive to check out the town and left our donation at the info centre.
